What a day.
Journal Entry: Mon May 12, 2008, 6:42 PM
Not only did I get an awesome paper flower from Dennis this afternoon. But also, my Irish boy bought me an original Xbox. He bought it so I can play video games again. I think he feels that he's abandoned me because we don't get a chance to play together anymore. He starts talking about games and I get jealous. I love video games. LOVE them! He knows his way to my heart. lol. For some, they think a way to a girl's heart is flowers and candy ... with me it's video games! Well, okay, video games and a bottle of Mt. Dew so I can stay up late playing them. haha!
But he bought it for me, do I know why?
No.
But do I care?
No.
It is sitting on my bed right now, teasing me with promises of fun times and video game goodness. He says that it's both his and mine. But I don't know when he'll get over here to play it. He sent it home with me. But it's ours. I'm excited.
However, I have to switch TVs with my parents. They have my old one. The one I have now doesn't have a remote that can make it go to game mode. Stupid. I told my mom that it would be a good move, because my TV is newer and isn't on as much as my old one downstairs.
I need the remote so I can put it on game mode and kick some alien ass. Or maybe work on my Mob connections with the Godfather. Maybe become one with the Force with Lego Star Wars and Knights of the Old Republic. Oh oh! I can be a head coach for the Steelers, too. I can also play Halo 2 and get lost in The Matrix. I can be one of Professor Xavier's elite in X-Men Legends.
It came with the Xbox - like - twenty games and five controllers (one of which is wireless, thank you very much. *pops her colla*) I am stoked. I can't wait to freaking play it!
*dances*
I love that man!!

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
